He is coeditor of Life Underground: The Biology of Subterranean Rodents, also published by the University of Chicago Press. He lives in Kensington, CA. Ulyses F. J. Pardiñas is senior scientist at the Centro Nacional Patagónico, Puerto Madryn, Argentina.
